Life is changing for Avery Shaw. She's searching for a house with her boyfriend Eliot so they can officially move in together. Comic book conventions are filled with funny folks, and Avery is happy to meet all of them - no matter how odd. As she gets closer to a killer, though, she becomes the new target. Jake and Eliot have to work overtime to keep Avery safe, but in the end, she's the one who has to save the day if she expects those around her to survive. I am always anxious for a new Avery Shaw book and this one does not disappoint. Avery and Elliot are going to buy a house and move in together but first she needs to solve a murder at a Comic Con. This is a fast paced fun read as usual. I do tend to savor all of Amanda Lee's books.
I love Avery she cute and witty just like someone I know. I like how Jake and Eloit egg Avery on. Her cowokers are something else along withe girlfriends, and the famiy. She has a witty way of solving crimes and it works even if she gets a little banged up. Can't wait for the next book.keep the comming there all great . Thanks
I absolutely love this series by Amanda Lee! I never get tired of reading about the exploits of Avery Shaw. I would recommend this series to anyone who likes the Stephanie Plum books. Avery is a strong young woman who takes nothing from the men in her life! She is just so funny I find myself laughing out loud at times. I am always anxiously awaiting the next book in the series.
I just love the Avery Shaw series, and this one was solid. Avery is snarky, egocentric, and engaging, with a big heart. Her boyfriend is great too, as is her ex-boyfriend (oh, yeah, it is definite triangle!), and she has coworkers like some of mine in the past were, awful! She gets away with far more than most of us would, though, and her mouth does not quit. She is smart, and did I mention snarky?!
I have read all of Amanda M. Lee's books and this one is no exception. It is as spectacular as the rest. If you are interest start at the beginning of the series, it is well worth it. Although this isn't my favorite series from her it is still amazingly well written and superb. You have to like excellent use of sarcasm to truly appreciate any of her work but she is the best worth, reading everything again and again.

Avery and the gang are back for another adventure. Written with her trademark wit and over the top snark this is an Avery tour de force. Avery is growing up and has to face some of her demons as she looks for a house with her boyfriend. Yes there is a trademark mystery to solve in the meantime and much to Avery's delight it takes place at a Comic Book Convention. Who would have thought. For Avery Fans this is a must read.
Avery needs more redeeming qualities or to show the ones she has more often. Isn't the lead character supposed to be likeable anymore? She behaved like a reality show cast member and if I wanted that I would not be reading a book. It's too bad because the premise and mystery were good and I like this cast of characters. Hoping the next one is better. I guess I like Avery using her strengths to help people and defend her loved ones but not just for the sake of being a mean girl.
